Remember, this list is to help you, not an absolute list. You are free to use ANY IRC server that allows bots, as long as you follow that servers rules.

These vhosts aren't as 'cool' as some out there. Why?

SATEXAS has always sported an 'older' or 'mature' crowd. This style of membership, combined with strict management has combined to form many years of stable and quality service.

The last thing SATEXAS wants to attract is the 'kiddie' crowd, the crowd that generally causes the most trouble, and dos attacks (among other things).

Super 3l33t hosts and names will only cause us to lower ourselves to the level of the pluthera of kiddie shell providers out there. If l33t hosts are what you need, you will need to find another shell provider. :)

My bot won't launch, I'm getting a port error.

This is one of two reasons (usually the second one) :
1. You have chosen a port someone else is using. Change your port to something as random as possible between 10000 and 50000.

2. You are using an invalid vhost. If you have chosen a vhost that doesn't belong to the server your account is on, if that vhost no longer exists, the vhost is typed in wrong, the vhost ip address in your config file is invalid.. this will happen. Yes, it's a vhost error, but the eggdrop reports it as a port issue (Yes, it's odd).

   Want to make sure it's not the vhost? Simply comment it out (remove it) and try to launch the bot... if the bot launches, then your vhost settings are the problem.
